Ingredients:
- 1 lb Briess Pilsen Light DME
- 6.6 lb CBW Pilsen Light LME
- 3.25 oz Citra
- 2.75 oz Mosaic
- BRY-97 American West Coast Ale Yeast – dry
For all grain, they suggest: 1/3 malted wheat, 1/3 pilsner malt, 1/3 golden promise
Steps:
- Heated 3.5 water to 170F. Added DME and LME while stirring. Very full kettle. Added .5 citra @ 60 min. Added 1 oz citra and 1 oz mosaic at 0 min. Cooled and added more refrigerated H20 to 70F. They suggested letting the city water off gas in the fridge before brewing with it.
- Dry yeast hydration – 15 min, sprinkled over 90F H20, stirred waited 5 min.
- Added 1 oz each Citra and Mosaic at 70F. 1.052@65F. Aerated then pitched yeast and stirred
- 5/13/20 – added remaining hops.
- 5/30/20 – Bottling video day! Moved to basement last weekend to cool off. Brought back up last night. Used Brewer’s Friend Beer Priming Calculator. 5.8 gal, 2.4 vol CO2, 64F (basement conditioning) = 6.7 oz DME. Boiled with 1.5 c H20 for 10 min. 1.009 @ 76F. Bottled 42x12oz + 4x20oz + 2x25oz for 4.95 gal
- Stored beers in basement for 10 days. Aeronaut recommended putting all in fridge once hits right carbonation.
