#25 – Variation on Emon’s NE IPA

Stats:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb flaked weat
  • 0.5 lb crystal 40
  • 7 lb plain light DME (Muntons)
  • 0.3 oz cascade 8.2% (old)
  • 0.1 oz Yenster cascade (old)
  • 0.2 oz Amarillo 8.5%
  • (above at 60 min)
  • 1.8 oz Amarillo 8.5%
  • 2 oz Azacca 9.8%
  • 2 oz El Dorado 14% (Azacca and El used instead of citra and vic secret)
  • Wyeast 1318 London Ale

Steps:

  • Steeped wheat and crystal in 2 small bags at 150F for 30 min. Added DME and hops boiled 60 min. Cooled to 180F added 1 oz Amarillo, 0.5 oz El Dorado, 0.5 oz Azacca. Cooled to 90F. Added H20 to 5g. 1.060 at 68F. Pitched yeast.
  • 6/5/19 – Poured over 1oz Amarillo, .5 oz Azaca, .5 oz El over krasen. Stirred
  • 6/15/19 – added .5 Azacca and .5 El Dorado. Racked to carboy. Smells like apricot. Slight bitter finish. Hazy and cloudy
  • 6/24/19 racked to keg. 1.014 @ 74F
