Cider from Modern Homebrew

Stats:

  • 5 gal
  • OG: 1.054
  • FG: 1.005
  • ABV: 6.4%

Ingredients:

  • 5 g unpasteurized cider
  • 6 oz corn sugar
  • 5g Ferm Aid K
  • 2 tsp Acid Blend
  • Cider House Select Dry Yeast

Steps:

  • 1.050 @ 55F before adding stuff. 1.054 @ 55F after adding sugar, acid, nutrients. Stirred to blend and aerate. Pitched yeast on top
  • 11/25/20 – Cider slightly carbonated. 1.005
  • 12/20/20 – Added 62g corn sugar with 1 c water, boiled. Based on online calculator
  • Cider didn’t carbonate in the bottles, sadly. Still tasted good.
